OpenDNS
Sometime back I had posted an article on phishing which is a security threat if not taken care of. For example a site can mimic to be like another site and can try to capture the information. There are tools that can sit on your machine and watch out for phishers or the latest browser versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer protect from phishing sites. Or what if the site is blocked at a DNS level? Take a look at OpenDNS which provides a safer, faster, more reliable and smarter DNS service free to any Internet user. I set that up on my laptop so that I don’t need to be dependent upon the DNS address provided by my ISP. It already helped me capture URL typos and redirected it to either the actual web site or opened up a search result from OpenDNS.
Wish you and your family a happy and prosperous new year.

Thank you, Ramesh. Glad to hear that OpenDNS is faster in India, too.
