Storage - Where did we come from and where are we headed?

I still remember when I was doing my pre college (11th grade in Indian context) I bought a 640K floppy drive and I still have it with me as an item to remember. 640K is quite small compared to the Giga Bytes of storage that a DVD ROM offers now. But we came a long way with what we have now.  Here is a history of data storage from where we started, where we are now and what’s next.
